The Leonardo (Salt Lake City)

The Leonardo is a culture, arts, and science center and museum in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States. It is located at the former site of the main branch of the Salt Lake City Public Library. It opened on October 8, 2011.[1]

The mission of the Leonardo Museum (named after the artist and scientist Leonardo DaVinci) is to fuse science, technology and art in experiences that inspire creativity and innovation in young people and adults. This program is aimed to attract those individuals, families and businesses who can help to create and build on Utah’s and the city’s brand as an innovation economy.

The Leonardo hosted the Body Worlds 3 exhibition from September 19, 2008 through January 11, 2009.

The museum is run by the board of directors and a small staff with the help of a large group of local resident volunteers.[1]
